Adam Harris, MD
General Surgeon in Birmingham, AL

Feeling lost in the shuffle of large surgical practices?

Dr. Harris brings high-caliber surgical expertise to his Birmingham practice—where you’re a patient, not a number.

Education & Training

After earning his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Dr. Harris completed his five-year surgical residency training at the Mayo Clinic campus in Jacksonville, Florida. During his time at Mayo, he trained under experts in endocrine surgery, hernia repair, and advanced gastrointestinal procedures.

This background instilled a patient-first philosophy and a rigorous approach to surgical precision that he brings to his private practice in Birmingham. Rather than the volume-driven approach common in larger practices, Dr. Harris prioritizes direct communication, ensuring every patient understands their diagnosis, their surgical options, and their path to recovery.

Surgical Expertise

As a specialist in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques, Dr. Harris brings cutting-edge surgical precision to the Birmingham community. With over a decade of surgical experience, Dr. Harris specializes in a broad range of general and endocrine surgeries, including:
